Danfoss Editron motors are based on either Synchronous Reluctance-Assisted Permanent Magnet (SRPM) or Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) technology. Featuring a liquid-cooled design, they are well-suited for the harsh operating conditions commonly found in drivetrain applications—such as traction motors in heavy machinery or propulsion motors in marine applications. These motors can function seamlessly as both generators and electric motors.
Main product groups
Compared to traditional technologies like induction motors (IM), electric SRPM and PMSM motors are smaller in size, lighter in weight, and more efficient.
This motor comes in a variety of speed and torque levels:
● EM-PMI power up to 1,000 kW – high torque, high efficiency
● EM-PMI project machinery boasts power up to 6,000 kW – featuring high torque and exceptional efficiency
● All permanent magnet motors can undergo full-load testing in our own test laboratory, with results accurately reflecting the actual load requirements. We can input the machine’s workload cycles directly into the testing system and perform load tests right in the lab—significantly reducing your on-site testing time.
