The logging truck is a specialized, high-tech vehicle used in oil exploration to lower cables and downhole instruments. By measuring the electrochemical and conductive properties of rock formations, it collects geophysical data that supports well completion and oilfield development. At its core, the vehicle comprises components such as an automotive chassis, transmission system, winch, and electrical circuitry. The winch system, classified primarily by its transmission method, is divided into three main types: mechanical transmission, hydraulic chain-driven systems, and hydraulic chain-free systems.
1. The hydraulic system utilizes power take-off from the transmission, featuring a Danfoss 90-series electro-proportional variable piston pump and an H1B-series electronically controlled variable piston motor to form a closed-loop system that drives the hydraulic drum, enabling stepless speed control with high precision and responsiveness.
2. Work system: Motor-driven drum or winch, winch brake, and outriggers.
3. The rope-laying system uses hydraulic control for the upper rope deployment, with imported components for the operating valve. The rope-laying arm moves smoothly both left-right and up-down, offering precise following action while also allowing manual operation to protect cables from damage. Additionally, the system features built-in cushioning for smooth vertical movement, ensuring effortless, reliable, and user-friendly operation in all directions—up, down, left, and right.
4. The electric drive system can be used to create a remotely operated, unmanned logging vehicle, utilizing CAN bus communication and supporting both CANopen and J1939 communication protocols. It enables precise control of constant speed and constant torque, while torque limits, speed limits, and power restrictions can all be dynamically adjusted in real time via communication.
