In April 2018, the combined sales of loaders from 25 major domestic manufacturers included in the statistics reached 13,530 units, representing a 49.5% increase compared to the 9,050 units sold in April of the previous year. Overall, despite the February sales decline—caused by the Lunar New Year holiday—the loader market continued its steady growth trajectory.

In the first four months of this year, cumulative loader sales reached 44,120 units, representing a 38% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, exports of loaders totaled approximately 8,000 units during the same period, up 37% compared to the previous year—showing that domestic and international sales growth has remained in perfect sync.
In terms of tonnage, total sales of 3-ton and larger loaders in April reached 11,840 units, accounting for 87.5% of overall sales. Among these, 5-ton loaders sold 8,710 units, representing 64.4%, while 3-ton loaders accounted for 2,530 units, or 18.7% of the total.
In the first four months, a total of 39,140 loaders weighing 3 tons or more were sold, accounting for 88.7% of overall sales. Among these, 5-ton loaders accounted for the largest share, with 28,500 units sold—representing 64.6% of total sales—while 3-ton loaders made up 19.2%, totaling 8,480 units. Additionally, small loaders weighing less than 3 tons recorded sales of approximately 4,990 units during this period.
Looking at the sales regions, Shandong claimed the top spot for both April and the first four months of the year. Meanwhile, Hebei Province delivered a standout performance in April, climbing to second place. Over the first four months, the top five provinces by sales were Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan, Hebei, and Guangdong, each recording sales exceeding 1,600 units. Notably, Shandong led the pack with nearly 2,300 units sold—over 400 units ahead of the runner-up.
Next, let's look at export performance.
The overseas market for loaders is showing steady growth momentum, with monthly export year-on-year growth rates remaining above 20% since January 2017. Moreover, monthly export volumes have consistently stayed above 1,400 units since March 2017.

In April, 2,130 loaders were exported, accounting for 37% of total sales. Year-to-date through April, cumulative loader exports reached 8,000 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 37.3%. The export models remained dominated by 5-ton and 3-ton loaders, with 3,840 units and 2,710 units shipped abroad during the first four months, respectively—making up 48% and 34% of the total exports, respectively.
