1. As part of the Danfoss THORX™ motor family, the CLM 8 S was custom-developed specifically for sprocket-driven applications and is ideal for wheeled skid-steer loaders. It made its official debut at the Bauma China trade show in October 2022!
2. Currently, the CLM 8 S is available in 7 displacement options: 470cc, 520cc, 565cc, 620cc, 680cc, 750cc, and 820cc. This product line boasts a maximum working pressure of up to 450 bar (6,525 psi), and it also features an integrated parking brake, dual-speed switching, a speed sensor, and a flushing function.

The CLM 8 S motor delivers enhanced low-speed performance and improved mechanical efficiency at high speeds. This will help customers reduce energy consumption while achieving faster travel speeds.
● Dual-Speed Soft Handover
The CLM 8 S motor features a newly developed dual-speed switching system that optimizes control signals, reducing the switching shock by up to 70%. Additionally, temperature-dependent control signals ensure the motor maintains consistent response times and minimized switching impact across varying temperature conditions.
● More compact product dimensions and higher power density
The CLM 8 S motor features an integrated brake design, reducing the motor’s size by 33%. Thanks to its more compact installation footprint, it’s easier for customers to install, while also enabling the integration of a stronger sprocket even in spaces with limited room.
● Integrated multi-disc parking brake
The CLM 8 S motor offers the most reliable parking brake in its class—a spring-loaded, hydraulically released friction-disc parking brake that ensures safety and reliability throughout the product’s lifecycle, allowing for up to 100 emergency braking operations.
● Multiple interface options
The CLM 8 S motor offers a variety of mounting flanges and output shaft options, ensuring a perfect match for your machine.
