On December 25, 2021, the award ceremony for the "2021 Shandong Provincial Association of Equipment Manufacturing Science and Technology Innovation Award," guided by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and hosted by the Shandong Provincial Association of Equipment Manufacturing, was successfully held in Jinan. This year’s event was themed "Empowering with Technology, Driving Innovative Development," honoring outstanding science and technology innovation projects, as well as advanced teams and individuals across the province’s equipment manufacturing sector. The research project titled "Key Technology Research and Industrialization of Dynamic Positioning Systems for Marine Vessels and Offshore Engineering Equipment," developed by HHH Cooperation MACH. ELEC.CO., LTD., proudly earned the third-place award in the 2021 Shandong Provincial Association of Equipment Manufacturing Science and Technology Innovation Awards. A dynamic positioning system consists of three core components: the control system, the measurement and sensing system, and the propulsion system. In some advanced configurations, the propulsion and power systems are separated, resulting in a four-part setup. This cutting-edge technology ensures that vessels—such as offshore operation platforms—can precisely maintain their position and heading despite challenging marine conditions like wind, waves, and currents. It is a critical technology underpinning a wide range of offshore equipment, including marine engineering platforms, subsea pipeline installation systems, salvage and rescue operations, and scientific research vessels. Additionally, Dr. Sheng Tongfei, a postdoctoral supervisor and senior engineer at HHH Machinery & Electronics, along with Senior Engineer Qi Yongbin, were honored with the prestigious title of "Outstanding Engineer" for 2021, awarded by the Shandong Provincial Association of Equipment Manufacturing. These accolades not only boost morale and confidence but also set exemplary benchmarks, fostering collaborative momentum and driving high-quality growth within the equipment manufacturing industry.
